About 2 weeks ago I answered an ad on Craigslist for a Nolting Hobby Quilter with Hinterberg stretch frame. It's a 16" arm so I'm not sure it's considered long or short - Anyway, it's big enough for me. The frame is 9' but can stretch to 10' if I get the poles. The person selling it lives about a 4 hour drive from me. We emailed and talked. Wonderful person. Agreed on a price and included delivery and set up :-D :-D A four hour drive for her each way. They are bringing it tomorrow, setting it up and she is going to show me things she knows. She said she plans to be here most of the day. Again a wonderful person and I'm hoping I got a great deal. Hope I can sleep tonight in anticipation.

You did get a good machine. I have the Fun Quilter which is the equivalent to the Hobby Quilter. I haven't had a bit of trouble from her.

Congratulations on your quilting set up. If I had a 16" quilting area I would think I was in heaven. Enjoy it and have fun.

congratulations on your mid-arm! just a bit of caution, it will be a while before you turn out a master piece so don't be dissappointed, just because you have a top of the line car doesn't make you a good driver  there's so much to learn and get used to a lot of people are overwhelmed and give up (i wanted to toss mine out the window many times but it was too heavy)
can't wait to see some of your work
