Is it okay to use Hobbs Poly-Down batting? I have a random crib package of it and I would love to destash this batting into a Quilts for Kids Quilt if it would be acceptable.

On the instructions it says to used 1/8-1/4 low loft batting. I don't really know what that means and if Hobbs Poly-Down would qualify. It says machine washable on the package so I know it fulfills that requirement.

Thanks!

The loft is the thickness of the batting. If you measure it and it is within their guidelines, go for it :D usually the package will say if it is low or high loft. High loft would be a little thicker. Sometimes the loft is compressed until you take it out of the package and fluff it back up in the dryer

I agree, you need to use what they tell you.
