My BFF found out a few days ago that she has small cell lung cancer. It is aggressive and so is the treatment. They tell her she will lose her hair in 2 or 3 weeks so I want to make her some cool weight chemo caps. I had a pattern for some caps made from cotton-knit fabric, but who knows where that is. All I can find online is crochet or knitted. Can anyone help?

Not a cap, but my brother used the dew rags and bandanas ? Just a thought.

#10 looks perfect for her.

Are you old enough to remember when girls wore those cotton triangle head scarves? Those are easy to make and might work. You also might try this one Mccalls 4116

I have a good pattern, easy and stylish. Will be glad to send it to you but can't until mid week. It is a bit more stylish than those shown. It is usually made from cotton knit.

So glad this thread was started. My daughter's friend just had a hysterectomy due to ovarian cancer. Poor thing just found out and it went fast from there. And she is so young, just breaks my heart. She will lose her hair too, so I thought I would make her some chemo caps. She did tell my daughter that she wants a hot pink wig. At least she still has her sense of humor.

I'm sorry to hear about her health problem.
Sewing with Nancy has a webpage called Creative Kindness with free head covering patterns.
