Recently I half-jokingly told DH that I was going to give him fabric for Christmas and that he should give me some tools. Well, he latched right on to that idea so we're really going to do it, lol.

I've had my eye on some fabric that I think DH is just going to *love*! And, really, he's been extra good this year... ;)

Perfect idea...since Christmas is not about the gifts anyway (imho)...unless you're a kid (lol).. So, this way you get what you love, and your dh gets what he loves...no long return lines or politely keeping something you don't really like...

This is a great idea. Hmmmmm, "honey what would you think if we did something a little different this year?" Yup, gonna ask him.

My husband and I don't give each other gifts any more. We spend it all on our granddaughter.

Well... I'm pretty sure I'll let him keep the tools he buys me- so he can get me whatever tools he likes... and I'll keep the fabric I buy him! ;)
