It's in the Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler, spring/summer 2009 magazine, pages 70-74.

Why am I asking? I've been there once--it's between us and where my son goes to college.... AND Kennedy and I are headed back this summer. :!: :D :!: :D :!: :D

I am hoping Angie can meet me there, too. But, that's a long shot.

The other summer afternoon plan is to go to a quilt shop my girlfriend found about an hour away--she says they have lots and lots of black and whites. I can't wait for summer!!! :D :D

A couple of summers ago (2007) I had the pleasure of vacationing in the fingerlakes area of N.Y. What a wonderful part of the country!! As we (DH and I) were headed for Cooperstown, we came upon a quilt shop all by itself, so I couldn't miss it. Wow! What a place, I've often thought about it, wishing I'd had more time there. My DH is very patient with my need to stop at quilt stores while traveling, but this store would have required hours to really appreciate it. I ended up just strolling through it in awe, there was too much to choose from in the time I had, so I ended up leaving with nothing. We enjoyed that trip so much that we are considering moving there from California, we want to get away from four months of 100 degree heat, but are a little worried about the long cold winters. I've never been anywhere that fit the description of "peaceful" so well. Enjoy your time at Patchwork Plus. Someday I WILL get there again!!

mic-pa--I don't know the name of the shop, but it's in Hammondsport.

roselady--there is nowhere else I'd rather live than here. Yes--there are a few things I'd change, but I don't see anywhere I'd like better on a full time basis. If you have plenty to do during the winter--it can be peaceful, too. Hey--quilting! :D
