Default Did you sew/quilt Christmas gifts this year?

I was so thrilled by Jenny's tutorial for pillowcases (Missouri Star Quilt) that I made a set of pillowcases for everyone all my family members, including the kids and they all LOVED them. Heck, I think they went over better than some quilts I've slaved over :>). All the fabric was carefully selected with the recipient in mind. Toile, Bratz, Marbled, Florals, SpongeBob, etc. All fabric was pulled from my stash so I didn't have to go out and buy a thing. I made 15 sets for the grown folk and 8 individual pillowcases for the twin bed kids. Sewing at my leisure, I was done in less than a week. Most stress-free holiday in years - Hope Jenny comes up with something this simple for next year.
What did you'all do for gift-giving this year.?

Pillowcases for the five youngest grandkids, 15-9 yrs of age that were used to hold their presents under the tree. One of the girls has hers on her bed and I think she appropriated her younger sister's pillowcase. They didn't think much of them until Poppy told them that Grandma (that's me) made them. They thought that was cool. Now older sister wants something for her apartment since I have a serger.

I did fabric bowls for my husband's family. They were really fast and easy to make.

I made my dd two bags. One was for her laptop and one was a messenger bag that I designed. I was so suprised by how much she loved them. Both were in use as she left to fly home to NYC.

I did a set of 4 placemats (with a twisted thingy to hold the napkins) and napkins for DS and his wife. The two fabrics I used were a cream with small red and green dotted pattern and and a green...I knew they would look very nice with their dishes. Then I did a set of 4 of the same for my DD and her hubby with a green solid fabric and a wintery scene of snowmen and log cabins. Everyone loved them. That was the only sewing I did this year for gifts.

3 Wonky Tree lap quilts and a queen size bargello quilt......now I cannot sew anymore until I clean up my mess in the sewing room. Needless to say I am on my 4th day of no sewing...and still havent cleaned the room. Been avoiding it. Maybe tomorrow because now I am looking at quilting patterns no I know the urge to sew is coming back.

I finished a quilt that I have had for about 4 years now. I had it longarmed and it turned out beautiful. Now I plan on getting into all those UFO's I have in my sewing room. I would like to make more gifts for the Christmas of 2012.

I knitted and then embellished with embroidery a scarf for my sister in law, hand sewed a pair of beaver fur gauntlets (with beading) for my brother and sewed a bag for my daughter. Got everything done in time!

Three wall hangings, several Christmas tree ornaments, several pot holders, and a queen/king size quilt for my DH and a tie fleece blanket for my GDD, and two pillows for my DS.
