I was wondering if I could take different sized crazy quilt blocks and sew them all together someway without making too much bulk? I have a ton of them that were my mom's and would like to put them together in a crazy quilt for my daughters upcoming wedding. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes you can! You will have to find some complimentary fabric so that you can fill in gaps...then I would suggest getting graph paper so you can map out a plan and most of time you have to work in sections across the quilt to make them come together. That is what I do anyway.... :D

This thread was started a while back and it seems like the perfect solution to your question.

Great idea, thanks for all of your help.

KWhite I love your tee shirt quilt, what an awesome idea! I should have done that when my kids were teens, but I can sure remember that for my grandchildren's tees. Going to call my dil's lol.

I just thought when I sewed so many thicknesses of the crazy patch blocks together that it would be too thick.

You could find a fabric to use for sashing between each block, that would cut down on some of the bulk. Using fun threads and designs to quilt the sashing would help them to fit in, too.

This sounds like it will be a fun quilt. Keep us posted on your progress.
