I want to add triangles to the sides of my pinwheel blocks to make them a larger square, a square in a square. Can you tell me what the formula is to figure what they should be. My blocks are 5". Someone did this, I think, that is making the pinwheel in a day.

You can make a 6in block then cut it in half. It will be plenty big enough for the 5in sq's.
