search on Mapquest for "quilt shops, Plymouth, MI" It is a fairly good sized town but I don't know of what quilt shops are there as I have only been there once myself.

there is a book out for quilters who travel.a boat load of quilt shops in every state maybe they have one at the library or you can borrow it from someone.

i think it is called" the quilters companion" ?. check ebay or amazon

Don't know if there are any right in Plymouth, but you are pretty close to Brighton & Howell. There are several shops there, just a few miles from each other. The ones I'm familiar with are: Monarch Quilts, Stitchery Sewing center, Creative Quilt Kits. Creative Quilt Kits sells kits on line, but they have lots of remnants of fabric that they use to make the kits. There are several other shops in this same area, but haven't been to them.

Not sure about quilting shops there, but I did teach there for many years. It is a beautiful little city, and is connected to Canton-I do know that there is a Joanns and a Hobby Lobby in Canton.

PaperPrincess, you made a good start. In Howell there is also Wendy's Simple Stitches. Then there is Lake Street Mercantile in South Lyon. There is a shop in Milford, but I can't remember the name. There are also 2 JoAnn's--one in Brighton and one in Novi. You won't have time to do anything else when you are in this neck of the woods. I forgot, there is a shop in Pinckney which is about 12 miles from Howell. Also the Howell WalMart has lots of fabric.

I don't think Plymouth has had a quilt shop for quite a few years. Creative Quilt Kits is a great store - just found it last year. Great selection of fabric (they originally started as online kits)
Plus the others mentioned!
Once you're in the Brighton/Howell area the shops are not all that far apart!
