They have added a new category if anyone is interested, Modern quilts. The descriptions are -modern piecing utilizing improvisational piecing techniques and negative space quilts with large negative space including quilts with alternative grid work and modern abstract design.

I have quit going to Road because almost all their quilts are what I call "art quilts" and I prefer traditional quilts. I like modern or contemporary quilts if they are pieced with geometric designs. Not into something that I would never make myself.

I quit too. It is so expensive to park and she forces you to buy a pass for the entire run of the show. Just too damn expensive for my budget.....
