I use a pill bottle and put a tiny hole in the cap. This was I just insert the used/damaged needles into it. When used up I just duct tape around the cap and dispose of it.

I found that old Tic Tac boxes are perfect. Just flip the top, drop in the old needle, and close. I mark it in black magic marker OLD NEEDLES and it fits in near my machine very well. Whatever works!

Our county health department will provide a 'sharps' container (like the hospitals and doctors' offices use for needles) and then dispose of the container and contents when full. The large container will hold rotary blades as well. Makes me feel much better to dispose of them this way.

I use mechanical pencils and purchase extra lead. The little plastic tubes that the lead comes in makes great containers for old needles. When they are full I do put tape on the lid top to make sure it doesn't come off.

I used my old needles to hang pictures. They make such very small holes in the wall and are extremely sturdy. I store the old ones I don't need in a pill bottle in my tool chest.

Don't mean to change the subject but what do you do with old rotary blades?
