I've also noticed the Sew Sampler is getting better and better. And it's a really good value.
I love getting the box every month. As Onebyone said it's a nice little pick-me-up. I usually like choosing my own things but getting a box of goodies is really a treat for me.

I'm looking forward to the new patterns. Those barns didn't do it for me

On the facebook page those barn patterns are selling for $5 each. I didn't keep mine. I tossed them each month. I didn't care for them either.

I watched one of Kimberly's videos and she said why they have to charge that. Something to do with their system.

I kept mine, even bought the finishing kit but have only made 1 block so far. I don’t like it as much as I thought I would. I’ve been thinking about selling/trading it for something else. It’s basically a kit and fat quarter shop is generous with their fabrics in kits so somone would have plenty to make the whole thing.

That is someone talking out the side of their mouth. The system (computer program) can be changed to .00 instead of .99. The system doesn't care what the amount is if an amount has to be entered. Not many systems require a fee be added unless it was intentional. I don't mind paying a small one time fee but to say it has to be done for the system is true but it was planned that way.

A friend and I split a single subscription but eventually quit because we couldn't use up the fabric we got and a lot of the tools and patterns were not in our style. It was fun to open it up every month but we decided we could use our money more wisely by purchasing exactly what we wanted when we wanted/needed it. Like one of the other commenters, we used a lot of the items as gifts or guild prizes.

I've been signed up with the Sew Sampler box for about a year now, and I agree that it's getting better and better. It's always fun to see that blue box delivered!

There was only one larger thing, a "jolly bar" pack of fabric, that I didn't care for (the combination of colors wasn't my style), and a couple of small things I didn't have any use for. I sold the "jolly bar" in a Facebook group ... quickly, I might add, since several people wanted it! ... and passed the two smaller items on to friends. Other than that, I've been thrilled with everything I've received.

Now if I could just find time to use the goodies! I've got a giant pile of blue boxes waiting on me to play.

I looked at other companies' subscription boxes, but they seem to be either too expensive, have iffy ratings, or the contents don't sound like they'd be useful to me.

I did Mr B's also for about 3 years. As someone else mentioned the price does include shipping. It is a good deal with fabrics and a pattern. I liked just getting fabric instead of also getting the notions that I either already had or didn't need. And I already have so much thread I don't need anymore of that either. I did try Quilty Box once and Sew Sampler for about 5 months but I just keep seeing how much fabric I could buy for $30 instead of those boxes.
