I have two and 1/2days to make a wall hanging for my fathers birthday, I lost the original pattern at Joanns when I was buying the fabric so I had to wait for over a week to get another one I luckily found on ebay , anyway I'm done to the wire and I just don't feel like it. So here I am reading what you all have to say and looking at your beautiful quilts. If I don't get busy I'll never get it done. At the moment I am just more interested in what you have to say and show. HELP, how do I get focused? By the time this gets posted maybe (hopefully) it will be done, I just hate having to hurry if I don't feel like it. So I've given myself 20 minutes to browse this great website then back to work!

Not sure if this will help, but have you thought about maybe getting your dad something else for his birthday and then working on his wall hanging at your leisure and giving it for a holiday gift? I always make so many mistakes when I rush and have found sometimes it's not worth the extra stress.

Just think about how happy you'll be when it's all done and you don't have to work on it anymore. Get it done and move on to something you'll enjoy more!

if you are not feeling it then make something else for him. and you could always give it for Christmas which is right around the corner.

I usually do some of my best work when I'm down to the end. I know some can't work that way.
Just do your best and if it doesn't come together now, I like the idea of giving it as a Christmas present.

If I'm not in to making a project it usually doesn't work. I would just buy him something and make it for Christmas.

Be nice to yourself.

Would you feel better finishing it?

Or would you feel better putting it aside until later?

Then go for it, and enjoy.
