Has anyone used the machine quilting halo by Sharon Schamber? I need lots of help with my machine quilting, but this seems rather expensive for a piece of plastic or rubber. Does it work? And is it worth it?

It is a heavy metal ring with rubber around it. I have one and yes it does work and I love mine.

I very nearly bought one until I found out that it was only about 8 inches across If it had been 12 inches, I think I would have got it.

Not the Halo, but one that Pfaff made....it's just way to confining to me so no never use it.

I have one and it's great for quilting small areas at a time. I've seen some use two, one on top of the other. I like it better then the ones with foam on the bottom.

Mine's slipped and it's strangling me  I have been wondering if these are a good investment, so I shall watch with interest (whilst trying to re-instate my halo!).

No, I don't have a Halo. I use those nubby gloves, which gives me pretty good control & not confined to small areas.
