Apparently not for long. I just heard through the grapevine (I'm not at home this week) that our Joann's is closing down. I don't know what my town will be doing without it ~ Walmart has gotten rid of their fabrics and so this only leaves 2 LQS which I know a lot of people can't afford to shop at. I'm bummed, to say the least.

The closest to me one way is two hours and the other is two and a half hours.

I would LOVE to have a Joann's. The closest one to me is 2.5 hours away!

Everything crafty is 2.5 hours from me. We did finally get a LQS recently, though. Until it, it was almost 3 hours to buy fabric except for Walmart.

I pass FOUR of them on my way to work! Oh, yeah, I'm there a time or two each week.

Yes, thankfully! The store is only about 15 minutes away. I can't tell you how fortunate I feel to have it in town. We do have three others in our basic area that range from 30 minutes to a full hour to get to. I can't tell you how many times I have run over there for this, that, and the other thing. I costume (classical tutu) for the ballet company my daughter dances with, and during Nutcracker season (I can't even believe I would dare speak the "N" word in the middle of July!) I live there. While they don't carry Mettler, my thread of choice, I have been very happy with Coats and Clark. My Berninas hate the Gutterman.

An hour and 15 minutes away. Sometimes it doesn't pay to live in a small town.
