Default Do you know this block/pattern

My friend is trying to find this block or the pattern. I would just wing it but she is a fairly new quilter and would appreciate a little information.

It’s gorgeous — you could graph it out into 10x10 blocks- I’d do 1 1/2 inches each finished so that the lined pieces would come out easily

I agree. Should be easy to graph, and with that triple partial 'sashing' portion, luvspaper is correct. Choose a patch size that is easily divisible by 3.

I don't know the block but I do like it and I wanted to save it for future use so I created it in EQ7. You could make it as a 10 inch block with little bitty, tiny pieces, or like I would do, as a 20" block. If you can't find the pattern, maybe this picture of the block will help your friend. I omitted some of the background pieces being two parts and made them as flying geese, so I have changed the pattern somewhat.

This is an intriguing block. Could also have a plain block in the center. I really like it. Will follow this post.

Very pretty block. Maybe I'll have to bookmark this thread so I remember for future reference!
