If so, what's your favorite way to use them?

Never used any batiks, yet, but those stripe look really pretty, especially the blue/brown and the turquoise. IF I could make a landscape quilt, I could see them being used for a beach /sunset type picture.

Ooooo - the blue/green looks like a tropical lagoon to me.

I would definiely have to find a pattern to use these. Lovely batiks. And I don't have any in my batik stash. Now I will have to get some. I think they would work good in a large block or border for sure.

No, not really. I like ones that are more "gradient" so you can use different parts of the yardage in different places on the piece.

no I don't like them. However I have used them successfully by cutting with the stripe rather than cross the stripe. they can be used very effectively this way.

The stripes have really grown on me and I like them a ton more now than I used to. I have used a couple and I like that not only are they stripy in appearance but they usually go from one color extreme to another like the pictures you show. To me that is like a fabric two-fer. You can get totally different colors from one piece of fabric and when cut down to a unit used in a block it doesn't even look like the same fabric. In the batik block swap I got a beautiful double framed square and the maker used a stripe on the inner frame and it really popped. I love the stripe batiks and would like to add some to my stash as well.
