Default What a deal I got today

The local walmart is being changed to a super walmart . WQe went in today and of course have to find where the had the fabric dept . everything is so crammed together making room for the remodeling.Found a huge rack filled with fabric all for $1.00 a yard. NICE looking fabric to boot. there were 6 others ladies with carts full.

I managed to buy 12 full bolts LOL!! but happy with my buy for once i was at the right place at the right time. lady said they are going to do this once a week till the reopening . They want to have all new stuff for the opening.
Guess who will keep making stops at walmart

Every time I stop in at WalMart, I go to the fabric section. I've looked at bolts that look like there is very little on and take it and hit the scrap/remnant bin. I get so mad at some of the people though. They will take a charm pack or Skinny Stax pkg. apart just to make sure the size is right. One gal actually had the audacity to take a piece out of one of the packs because she only wanted one piece. Thought she could get away with it. Put her butt in the pokey. Wonder how much she ended up paying for it in the end.

Good for you - and what a stash you'll have. I've found that WalMart does knock-offs of the expensive quilting fabrics such as the Timeless Treasures, because I bought a couple of yards of the "real" stuff and then saw it again at WalMart, only the WalMart version was a little bit blurry and a little thinner fabric - perfectly fine for making casual quilts.
