the designer worked hard, spent a lot of time working out the kinks and then other people paid for it. if you want to start from scratch, that's great, but please don't ask other people to cheat the designer for you.

Well Said, DeeMail!

RiverSong ... Copyrights should be taken seriously ... if you were making a living from them, I'd suspect you'd appreciate it, just the same.

You're such a good quilter, Riversong. You can come up with an original purse design I'm sure--it may even be better than the ubiquitous bowtuck!

Don't know anything about the pattern but I would estimate how wide I wanted the bottom then add a couple inches to go up the sides. I have made totes with a contrasting bottom and thats how I do it. I rarely use a purchased pattern.

Oh,,I might add I have made a lot of bags, and I dont need a pattern. I can cut out squares and rectangles,,,I just wanted an idea of what size the bags were...Im not copying anyone by asking that..Thats like saying Im copying a dress if I ask what size you wear,,,,but dont worry,I wont ask again concerning anything...
