in the book "The Romance of the Patchwork Quilt in America" there is a picture of a block called "Peeny Pen's Cottage". it is rounded like a Hobbit house, very cute.(no pattern) Underneath is a little poem,

Peeny Pen's House by the side of the road
looked like a round little hoppity toad.

I have never seen this pattern anywhere else and I just googled the poem lines and came up with nothing.

Anyone know where it came from? Anyone ever heard of it?

I just noticed on Amazon there is a book of Carrie Hall's Blocks, that seems like it would have a pattern. But at $25 I may have to draw my own.

Hm.... just searching around, and found this link, maybe one of these would be worthwhile checking into?

I was mainly wondering about the origin of the name and the quote. Odd that it doesn't show up anywhere on the internet.
