I watch her on Youtube all the time and take many craftsy.com classes from her online shop. She is so cute and happy and really enjoys showing us all how to make a block a new and easier way. She has so many tips and tricks to making blocks. She makes complicated looking blocks easy to make. She has the gift. And she is always so thrilled to share with everyone. I just can't get enough of her. I buy from her shop all the time just because of seeing all that beautiful fabric on her Youtube videos (all the quilts hanging on the wall behind her). And she has a way of describing how fantastically cute the fabric she is using is and I just can't help but order it.
I wonder if people email her or stop by her shop and tell her about an easier way to make a block or a new block altogether or a new tip on quilting in general. She is an entertainer and a very good teacher. Sometimes, I'll just sit and watch her different videos on Youtube for an hour or longer. I just love that gal. She has to be making a killing in the quilting business...plus all the other craftsy classes she has at www.craftsy.com. And she's just a really nice person. I just wondered how many others of you feel the same way I do about her.

I like her...she seems like someone who would be fun to have as a friend. And she's encouraging in her teaching videos, makes things seem within your reach and skills. Did you see her recently on Fons and Porter?

No, I didn't see her on Fons and Porter. Where would I find her?

She is my favorite teacher. I watch all of her videos. One of the first things I did when I started quilting was to sign up for her two Craftsy classes. Recently, I watched her video on "Tavern Blues" a Civil War quilt. Never, in a million years, would I have wanted to make that quilt; but after her enthusiasm, I ordered the kit. I am about half way through making the quilt. Although it has a zillion tiny pieces, after watching Jenny's instructions, making the blocks is so easy and so much fun. I play her video each time I start a new process on the quilt. I love, love, love Jenny Doan and have learned so much from her. I have made two of the easy quilts from her classes, "Alternating Squares" and "Jelly Cake". Although they were very simple, they look beautiful. The people at her on line shop are wonderful. They provided the fabric for "Bittersweet" a mystery quilt I am making. I was short 1/4 yard of one of the fabrics. When I e-mailed them, they quickly sent me 3/4 yard. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to tell everyone how awesome I think Jenny Doan is.

Our PBS station had a Fons and Porter show on in the past few weeks where she was the guest with Mary Fons. Don't know where you can find it. I love watching her video tutorials on her website, Missouri Star Quilt Company, or on You Tube. I haven't gotten into Craftsey, so haven't done any of her classes there.

Just yesterday my quilting cousin Janet and I wrote to each other about yesterday's Missouri Quilt tutorial (magic squares). We discovered we both felt the same way about Jenny - like she was a friend, someone you'd like to hang out with. Janet joked that we should ask her to join our guild (in NJ!) LOL.
