Does anyone else tie their quilts or just me?

I started just tying. And I still tie throw quilts. I like the old timey look the tying gives. I've seen lots of full size quilts tied. There is nothing wrong with it. Just a matter of preverence.

I love a tied couch throw, car blanket or baby quilt. Depending on the block pattern used occasionally I'll tie a larger quilt. Or if it's a heavier fabric like cords or denim. On larger quilts string blocks, 4 patches, 9 patches (simple) look great tied.

I have tied lots of quilts. I love double batting in tied quilts for a really warm and cuddly quilt. They just seem softer. The tied quilts seem to ware out faster than quilted quilts but the softness is worth it. I quilt most of my quilts with a Tin Lizzie 18 but the quilt I use on my bed is tied.

I occasionally tie the mini quilts especially the scrappy or 9 - patch ones.

I tie my quilts if it's more of a utility quilt, I like having it finished quickly, and frankly, some patterns just call for tying.

I do! I tied my very first quilt. I'm planning on tieing a lap quilt I'm doing for my mom, too.

I agree with MaryStoaks, tied quilts seem softer.

I do occasionally - I like sleeping under a tied quilt with thicker batt in the winter.

Nope I don't tie. Personally I don't like the "looks" of them. It's all about preference.
