Those featherweight tables are few and far between. For a collector they are very valuable.

I have my mother's featherweight and the card table shown. It is quite handy as the work surface is larger than most machine cabinets, and it supports more fabric while sewing. The opening is a few inches back, but never seemed bad to me while using the featherweight, and I am pretty short too. I am so happy to have her machine. We shared some special times with our quilting!

Looks to me like an old, old card table. I would buy a new card table with chairs on sale. Probably won't cost as much as this one.

They say you learn something new every day..well I did today. I even had to text my DH at work to tell him. When we bought our house, there was tons of stuff left up in the attic. We never knew what that table was ..well now we know lol

Now that I look at an enlarged pic, it is the same one that I have that works well with my Featherweight which fits down into the part you lift out (left of picture). However, I still think that is a lot of $$ for it. I guess they are considering it antique. I would look for others on ebay before going for it.

uote=JUNEC]curious how it would work with a Singer Featherweight -

The one in Canada is exactly like mine. I am short but it is not a problem reaching the machine. In the pic it looks farther away than it really is.

Reason it is cheaper in Canada is that you will have more shipping to pay. I am having a Red Eye sent to me from Calgary, CA and the shipping is $75 for Canada Expedite Post.

You should! It is great. I use my all the time. The machine sits flat down into it giving a nice working space.
