Default Finally! Back to sewing.

It has been six weeks since I've done any sewing! I had company for 3 weeks, then had to play catch up with housework. The longer I went without sewing the harder it was to get back to it. I used every excuse in the book - but finally could put it off no longer - my block of the month group meets tomorrow so had to have a block completed. The hard part is finding the fabric, the pattern, etc. Now that I've done it I think I can get back to what I love to do!!

Isn't it funny how that works!

I've been having a similar issue, just not for as long. Also I do know things should settle down a bit soon (I hope).

Did actually set foot in my sewing room for a little while yesterday when a friend came over who hadn't seen my latest acquisitions and creations.

It's been literally months since I've done any sewing or card making (my other creative outlet). Got a puppy the end of January, and what with the housebreaking and all the puppy energy, I've had trouble finding chunks of time to go in my craft room and do anything long enough to be productive. Kudos to you for getting back at it! :-)

I rarely go more than a week without working on a quilt, whether it's sewing, cutting, pressing or quilting. It helps that my sewing rooms are right next to my bedroom and I have to pass them every day. DH and I have talked about building a studio out back, but one of the cons is that I wonder how I'd get things done. Now, I move from cleaning, laundry, sewing and back again throughout a day. If I was in a separate space, I'm not sure I'd be as efficient.
