They could print whatever they wanted, but could not write it in cursive handwriting. So many could not spell anything either. I suppose Math and Reading will be next. Sorry will not step down from my "Soap Box."
Oh, about the original question. I agree their should be a spot for explanation of abbreviations.

A Garmin is a Global Positioning System. Love our Garmin-saved us on many occasions. Nope, neither one of us have those fancy shmancy phones that do everything except wash out your underwear for you.
For the purse pattern and the OTL, I would think if you would have given the name of the purse, designer, or site where you found the pattern, you may have had your answer within the first few posts. Many of us have purse patterns and many of us love perusing the web and finding stuff out. Happy to help if you can give us more info. Not all patterns are written clear-cut.
