I've been having trouble getting my profile picture (the one under my name) changed to a different one. Oh, yeah, it's called an avatar. Sometimes my brain won't work. The one with the puppies is back up! I had a picture of my Dodge on here! I didn't do anything. I never even tried to change it to something different or anything this time. I had a terrible time getting the puppies changed to the Dodge to begin with. I don't like having the picture of the puppies up now because we lost the little brown one, and it makes my little girl sad all over to see the pic. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Try renaming the file with the avatar you want and upload it again.

it's part of creating your profile. go to "My Profile". all the way at the bottom, there's a section for loading your avatar (picture. why they can't just call it that is beyond me, but that's all it is).

click on the "browse" button and go through the folders on your hard drive until you find the one you want to use. highlight the name of the file, then click on "open". once you get back to the profile screen, click the "submit" button. as long as your picture is small enough (note the size restriction stated in that section) you'll have no problems.

AND............just as they wish on their very own, the puppies are back. Last timeI checked, I had a picture of my 1974 VW Super Beetle's rear end sitting in my garage with the lens all fogged up when the picture was taken.
Who is changing this for me?
Very odd choice, to make my daughter sad and cry.
The brown puppy died.
What the world is going on?

This may seem elemental, but are you going to the very bottom of the page and clicking on "save changes" when you put the picture you want in place?? Sometimes something as simple as that can make a difference and keep the original from staying in place.

Otherwise the pictures are changing from something in your computer or by someone using your computer. Have you a good firewall in place to keep anyone from going into your hard drive?

Sharon, yes, I click save changes at the bottom.
Nobody else uses my computer.
Firewall should be good and secure.

The VW is back up now, though! and I did nothing, again! I wonder what might get put up next? I hope it isn't pictures of the naughty cakes I did for a bachelor/bachelorette party!
