need help identifying the pattern of a quilt I just found at an estate sale. thanks

I believe it is called Dresden Plate design and your block looks like an antique block. Lucky you.

It is a fourth five degree angle Dresden plate. Fold a square of paper in half, fold it in half again, then fold it into a triangle. That shape, with two equal sides and 1/4” seam allowances added is your pattern. A very early Dresden plate that could be made simply without buying a pattern or newspaper. You can leave the center points as is, or cut them off and make the center circles. The other Dresden’s are the updated patterns. Beautiful. Great find.

that is another old block of when they used card board templates I am sure I have it too but cannot remember the name but the old magazines were wonderful so I could never get rid of them one I really liked was stitch and sew and I have so many I do not remember the names of them but they had so much more than todays magazines some very good stories recipes and articles guess I will have to start going through mine again you might try some thrift stores or estate sales and I am sure some will show up again
