About 20 years ago, I was at an Amish quilt show in Atlanta, Georgia, and I saw and fell in love with the most beautiful quilt I had ever seen. Not knowing then what I know now, that all quilts and quilt patterns are NAMED, all I did was look at the price and saw it was way over my low-income range (military, family then of five kids), so I drew, from memory, how I remembered the quilt looked and tried to find a pattern for it. Never, never found anything that even came close. Last week, someone in this Quilting Board posted an Amish Quilt Tour of over 1900 quilts, and you'll never believe it, but I found the quilt I had been looking for! It's still the most beautiful quilt I've ever seen, and I know the name. Thanks to whoever posted that link.

Isn't it stunning? Several here have posted their Star Spin quilts-I just had to have the pattern, so I bought it. I just haven't really decided what colors to do it in yet. I really like the solid brights contrasting with the black! If you click on the "search" at the top of this page, type in "Star Spin", and you'll see other's from this board.

I fell in love with it too and just HAD to buy the pattern. That was probably 15 years ago. Have I made it yet? Nope! But I still have the pattern. Maybe someday . . .

Also do a search for the New Orleans Puzzle to see that one.
Different names, same thing.
