I think it is abit hidden too. I wish it could be done in a differant way so it was more visible but I guess the fact that it is virtual makes it impossible to do. Hence the need to let people know about it from time to time.
Admin has since added a link to the list at the bottom of the page. You will find the word Virtual on the far right of the list below.
then just click on the section you want to see.
You can save it in your bookmarks for easier access.

Thank you RHonda and Admin. I saw the section and see it a lot but haven't been there so I am off to browse. I did have a few hours left in my 24 hour day to find yet something else to involve myself in. ROFL

Now where is that other site.. still have two hours in my day...

No they are two differant things Craftilady.

Watched topics are ones you have answered in or chose to add to your list to watch.

The Virtual sections are a group of like interest threads in one place. You can find all the threads about a particular subject in one place. Such as all the threads about applique or Bargello Quilts or Irish Chain quilts.
I have 3 sections now. One is all about miniatures and I add any new threads when I see them. This one if you post a thread about minis you can add it yourself.
The second one I started is about my Sampler Quilt Along. All my threads for this Sampler are there including all the weeks of Quilt Block pics and anything else that might help you in making this Sampler. Then the last one I did recently is threads of my tutorials for making my "Blocks". This way when you or anyone is working on the Sampler Quilt Blocks they can easily find the tutorial they need to learn how to make a particular block.

So this is a way of easily navigating a particular subject in less time than if you had to go search for all the threads on that subject. It makes it easy to see the subject so you can look for one particular thread without having to wade through a lot of threads that don't have anything to do with what you want.

When I need to refer to one of my threads I use this Virtual Section all the time.

There is always room for more sections if you have some subject that hasn't been addressed yet. You just need to contact Admin or Patrice and run your idea past them and get their approval. Then write a brief description for that section. You can manage it or leave it open to be added to by the author of each thread.

I think it was a great idea to start this section!! I just want to see more people aware of it's benefits.

I dip into them often, not to do quilts yet as I am busy but just for the joy of it. I think virtual is a brilliant idea.

I like the virtual sections too. I was thinking that maybe one could be started for making gifts...mainly Christmas gifts since December is coming on us fast, but also just anytime gifts.

I use them for browsing mostly... but when my schedule allows, I will spend even more time there. I'm interested in fixing up a new sewing room... I'm interested in miniatures, too... so I'm looking forward to spending time in those sections!

I think that would make a great section. There are always threads asking for ideas for gifts or for things to sell at booths. You'll have to present your idea to Patrice or Admin. Go for it! I'm sure there are a lot of threads that would work for that section.
