Default Need ideas for three color quilt

    All --

I am planning to make my daughter a quilt in her sorority colors of green, red, and yellow, with white. I have collected varying shades of batiks in these colors, but I haven't found the perfect pattern yet. I'd like something that feels young but not too modern (no asymmetry or anything like that). Ideas?

Here is one that is a modern log cabin, sort of. http://flickrhivemind.net/User/Annie...signs/Timeline

Well, I love that quilt. Couldn't figure out how to get to a pattern though. Maybe I can just figure it out. It looks really good!

adding white makes it a 4 color quilt.

I'm doing a card trick with three colors, you could use a 4th color as a border. I printed off a pattern from quilterscache. Look at that site and maybe quiltville also.

My favorite 3 color quilt is on the front cover of Lynette Jensen's "September Morning." I don't know if this book is out of print or not.

    Disappearing patch would be good.
Look at Macia's web site...Boat load of block patterns. I usually look at the patters for the size of block I want to make. Have fun!
