Wanabee, if I told my husband that he would help me to my sewing room, I really got lucky with finding him, he's an enabler for anything I want to do, eat, sew, buy ect ect.

Absolutely, positively. In fact when I get too "crabby" (insert word of your choice) my DH will tell me to go quilt or sew something. I've been out of sorts lately so I haven't been quilting much and I am getting very "crabby". Quilting is my therapy.

I love, love, love to sew, and quilt. I have the best husband he picks up in the house with all the things I should be doing, however, he does such a great job, and always says go and get some sewing done - so I do,,,,sometimes I sew well into the next morning, then back up at five, six or seven, and work on my environment, then myself and off to the sewing room for another 8 to 10 hours, and sometimes more. I'm not one to watch much TV, so have lots of time to sew and play in my sewing room. I worked for 43 years and never stayed home, and now that I am home, I love to do what I want to, and also think I'm addicted to sewing and fabric. Yes it keeps me sane as well.

YES! So its not only me! I am so happy to hear that someone else feels like I do. I guess the saying "Quilting is cheaper than Therapy" is TRUE!!!!

Yes! My "UFO" shelf has a nice little stack of 30's fabrics I purchased to make a quilt that I dreamed about. It was an oddly specific dream that showed me giving a very specific quilt to my DH's grandmother as a Christmas gift. In the dream I showed Grandma the quilt and pointed out several very specific features, so when I woke up I had a 100% complete quilt design. So, I'm going to make that exact quilt and give it to her for Christmas, exactly the way I dreamed it happening.

I am glad there are other people who feel this way. I thought it was just me and frankly, I was starting to worry. LOL

sewing is calming for me most of the time, I need my sewing time. It must be the addicting smell of antique sewing machines.
