It always bothered me that the center HST s on my new project look so small, so I pinned untrimmed ones on AND IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!

Now, having done 4 of each (10ea should be enough) I'm trying to find away to fix it without having to "unsew" them all! The HST has to go up from 2" sq to 2 1/2" and the "frame" around it down from 1 1/2" to 1".

Wonder if it would be more difficult to take out the HST, fold 1/4" over on center "hole" and sew a bigger HST on behind by sewing just on the folded edge.?

All going to be on black background.

Oh, but wait - My DD says she like it the original way better. Aaaarrrrggggghhhhh! You?

Waiting for answer from DC....

Top original small center, 2nd bigger

I think it looks good either way...why not mix and match them?

'cause now they are only just pinned (the bigger ones) so if I leave it, I don't have to do anything to them!

I like the larger centers better, too.

But with no comparison, the other ones are okay, too.

Maybe I should try pinning to a black background now and see if it makes a difference.

So far we're 1:1 !

I hate to say this, but I like the smaller center. I think it gives it more depth. HUGS!!!!!

I like them both, My suggestion would be small ones on the inside and large ones around edges on the outside of the quilt. Oh, the yellow and red block is awsome, really alot of depth in that one. :)

I like the smaller ones too..maybe you just need to make another quilt? then see which one you like the best? you'll have a gift ready to go for the holidays and be ahead of the game....;-) crafty_linda_b

And that's just what my DD said! As well as a few others!
So here it is on black and yes, pam, I could do that with the ones I haven't sewn yet!

Thanks as always! It's for a young friend of my GS's who has a kind of dark bedroom and loves pink!
