I promised my daughter a DWR quilt for her queen size bed but now I can't find the templates at JoAnns anymore. I have never made one of these quilt & need some suggestions on the best way to go. I machine piece but hand quilt. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreicated!

Eleanor Burns details the Double Wedding ring in one of her videos. Her book Egg Money Quilts also shows it and all the needed supplies are on her website.

I have the dies for the DWR for my Accuquilt machine. Maybe someone near you has them too and could cut it for you???

You might check out www.quilterscache.com she has a free paper pieced version. Hoopsisters have one that is totally made in the hoop - including the quilting. I have been dodging this bullet for about six years - one of my nieces wants one ...in all blue.

John Flynn does an easy Double Wedding Ring: sews strips of the color choices together, cuts strips across at size needed and then sews a tiny diagonal seam at each strip seam, forming the curved peices which are then ready to sew to the melon of the wedding ring pattern. Looks so much easier than cutting out and stitching all the tiny wedges together.

Judy Martin has one made of rectangles and squares in her 'Scraps" book. It is an interesting pattern that is a non-traditonal, traditional. I know that doesn't sound right but it might be worth a look. It is also on the front of the book so you could google it and looke at it.
