Naming a sewing machine
I took a class a couple of weeks ago and one of the other ladies mentioned that she and her friends always have a party when someone gets a new machine and it officially gets a name. Have you named your sewing machine? I affectionately call my 6600p my workhorse, but never really thought of giving it a name.

I call my Bernina Aurora 440 QE "my sewing machine!" That is opposed to my Bernina Serger which I call "my serger!" And if I ever get a long arm, it will be called "my long arm!"
Sorry, I'm not very creative....;(

don't personally name my inanimate objects. don't mind that others do. my friend's expensive, fancy machine is jean luc (with an accent, if you please). others in our group have also named their machines.
have fun with it.

The only machine I have named is my featherweight. She is Sophie (or should that be Sewfie?). Haven't come up with names for any of the rest.
My first car was "Fuzzy Jane", named by my roommate, to help me remember my license plate # which was FZJ 45.

I just pat my Janome and tell her I love her so much, lol.
A few years back I told my kids I wanted to be buried with my Janome and fabric. Pretty sure that's not gonna happen but the looks on their faces was priceless!
