I am going to do a bed runner for a class project and
was thinking of doing Dresden plate but with a a bigger circle in
the centreI was thinking of doing an embroidery in thr centre,
does anyone know were I could find such a pattern ?

I would think you could use any Dresden Plate pattern - just use one that results in the block size you want.
Embroider the center circle in whatever size pleases you.

Not long ago (I think), Sewing with Nancy, had an episode about Dresden Plates, and she super sized them, and some had larger centers. I think GollyTwo had it right - make the size block you want, then make the center what ever size you want.
