I use the used dryer sheet to clean my iron. It gets the gunk off so it glides nicely.

I stopped using the dryer sheets when I read how it causes dryer fires and also burns up the motor on the dryer by overheating the dryer. I went back to downey. I have bought two expensive gas dryers in seven years and I went searching for some answers. That is what I found out.

I have used the interfacing for this type of piecing. It does work good.

Although I have belonged to two quilt guilds and still a non-attending member to the other and taking college course I have learned more from the quilting board than I have for year of not belonging.

I got this from several people in the past and checked it out on Snopes. Since then, I try to remember to wash my lint filter in warm soapy water at least every couple months.

I found a non-woven foundation (made for paper-piecing) that comes in 8-1/2 x 11 sheets that you can run through your printer at WalMart. It's the same type of material as the dryer sheets, except it's a little thicker, and it doesn't have the chemicals on it. Otherwise, I cut muslin into squares and spray starch the heck out of them and use them for foundations.

Where in Wal-Mart did you find this product and what is it actually called? I sometimes have trouble finding things at Wal-Mart, they don't seem to be too logical when placing items in the different departments.
