There isn't a longer drying period because you hear set it with an iron.

Take the Elmer's glue bottle and pop off the orange cap. I use the side of a scissors to help. Take the scissors and cut off the guts ( white elevated piece inside). Be sure not to cut off any of the screw cap. Take a disposablr click pencil with a narrow pointed tip and screw off the tip. Next cut a small amt off the top of the orange cap...about 1/4 inch. Slice the pencil tip up the inside of the orange cap and out the top. Make sure it's snug. Last of all use a quilter's pin to keep in the point so it doesn't dry out. Yea!!!!!!! Now you have an Elmer's bottle with a mome made pointed tip. If you look at the tip of a pencil, it's just big enough for a piece of lead to go through so is perfect for a fine point glue tip!

Sorry, my fingers just wouldn't hit the right keys. Sorry for the typos. Slide the pencil tip up into the orange cap...don't slice it! :O)

I was wondering if any of you have ever used the regular Elmers glue on any of your quilts, and if so what were the resuts? i have 2 bottles of that type of glue, but none of the school glue.

Yes! I use it all the time. It doesn't leave you with the stiffness that fusible does

Here's a thread that we talked about this a while back. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...t-t180790.html I use your basic Elmers with the orange tip. I've used the store brand glue too.
