I am looking for old fashioned patterns for baby quilts.
I saw one at a quilt shop recently, it was getting quilted for another customer.
It had about 6 different views of a very fat and old fashioned looking baby. It was a very simple design, like something out of a color book.
The quilter tried to find out what the name of it was but had no luck. It was a kit that had been given to the customer. I don't know if it was old or new.
I have searched the internet until I am blue in the face.
Can anyone help me?

I may have some antique baby designs. How many different ones do you want? I will check my CD's tomorrow.

"aunt Martha" was the name of the transfers in the yellow envelope we used to use. They might have something you could use.

Yes, you are talking about redwork, although it also comes in various other colors. I made up the design below for my grandson when he was born, I'd be happy to do one for you, if you wanted. send me a private message if your interested.

Lanny

I saw a redwork alphabet quilt on the internet and decided to make something similar so created one instead of purchasing the designs. If you like it you can pm me and I can give you the directions. Ann in TN

Thanks Lanny & NCREDBIRD0 but that isn't what I'm looking for.
I always have to be difficult.
I am not making this for anyone specific, but for a future Grandchild or even Great grandchild.
I want to get some made up for both boys & girls even if I am no longer around to give it to them.
