Switched bobbin thread manufacture and now bobbin thread is coming up through the top of fabric. What do I try?

First check tennsion.
Make sure the thread is in the bobbin hook right.
May have to tweek the tenn a bit and should be fine, do on a test first.
What Emb machine is it ? maybe call a local dealer for help.
maybe need a diff stablizer too...
Hope you figure it out.

Thanks Connie, I will check the tension. All the rest is the same. Switched bobbin thread halfway through a mini project and it failed. Will adjust the tension and try again.

I have a Janome 10000 and was having troubles. The Janome mechanic said it was the bobbin thread. Now I only use Janome or Brother bobbin thread. They do come in different weights apparently.

I have always used Brother and switched because the store was out. I will be returning the new thread to the store and going back to Brother.
