The search function doesn't seem to work today, so I'll ask this question that I'm sure has been asked before.

I want an embroidery machine. 5x7 or larger field. $1000 +/-. Considering Brother PE770.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

I will tell you what I have and Love I have a BabyLocke Estante BLN It has a 5by 7 and 6by10 embroidery area and smaller of course. It has a place to down load designs from your computer or a card slot. It has around 100 designs already on it. I have not had one oz of trouble had it 3 going on 4 years I love it and I have a very good dealer also, but it was pricey so you might not want to spend that much. It worth every penny to me.

I purchased one of these PE770 machines....talked to the dealer before purchase....I wanted a large hoop area and a simple way to down load designs from the computer, which this lets you do with just a USB Drive stick. I purchased it on Ebay with a lot of extras added in over $2500, thread stablizer and on and on.Have not used the machine as yet

That is the only complaint I have, too. I am considering getting a used Viking that will use a very large hoop and can be downloaded thru the computer. Am having trouble finding anyplace online where one can get the cards. Might not be looking in the right place. Otherwise I like mine fine. Marge L.

I have the Janome 350E and love it. It is almost 2 years old, has the USB port and does both the 4x4 and 5x7 sized hoops. I have had not issues with it and really love it.
