Go for it! You will love it.
Once you get it, be sure and register it. That will get you into their data base and when the next upgrade is out there, you can get that for a real savings.
Enjoy!

I have EQ6 and have messed around with it off and on. Made a great pattern for a Lone Star quilt that I made a sold. It's fun, but it takes practice and you have to learn a lot.

I bought from someone on this board that wasn't using it at a great price. You may want to post an ad....

I was fortunate and able to buy it for $138 a few months ago but if I had to pay full retail it would still be well worth it.

If you like creating for yourself it is worth it.

I just designed a block on it last week which I will use soon.

You can use traditional blocks, modify, draw, and much more.

GO FOR IT!

I love it! Love it, love it!!!! Did I say I Love it? :D Watch for sales though, don't pay the $190 retail price. Just be warned that quilting will take a back seat for a while. Once you do some of the lessons, you'll be playing and designing instead of sewing. LOL It really is sooooo much fun!

I've had EQ since it was on DOS. When I first started quilting I saw an ad for it in the back of a quilt magazine. I ordered right then and if I remember it was about the cost of what it is now! I've gotten the upgrades ever since. I keep wondering how EQ could get any better but each upgrade adds more and gets easier to use. There is a learning curve but the more you use it the better it gets.

I bought it a few months ago and started to learn to use it.
I takes a lot of practice. It's a good thing that I do not mind learning new computer skills as with any new computer program I find that we have to take the time it takes to get used to them.
I like it and I succeeded in drawing patterns that I wanted to try. I scanned all of my fabrics (I don't have a huge stash) Then you can use the colors and fabrics that you own and it gives you a better idea of what you might want to make.

Like you, I really hesitated before I bought it. At the end I decided it would be my Chrismas or birthday or whatever gift from me to me with all my love (any excuse is good)
I am not a prolific quilter but why not!)
