As some of you remember, I've been working on some, ready for this? scrappy, floral, watercolor, log cabin squares.  I have 75 done, but it's not enough to make a decent sized quilt, so I plan on adding to the pile to make it 120. Here's the problem and where I need help. I found a design I like, after laying out at least 14 of them, but, I only like the middle of the design--the corners need changes. but I don't know how to go about creating those changes, and I've found it's very difficult to try to simply rotate squares while the whole thing is on the floor.

So--being unfamiliar with EQ6, is working out this design something this program could do? Could I program it to create different designs of a log cabin quilt that is 10 by 12 squares?

If someone has EQ6 and wants to play, let me know, or I may consider purchasing one. :D

Karla, my plate is full right now or I would gladly help you out!! Quilt Wizard will let you do this and it is much less expensive than EQ. You can go to EQ's website and check it out  It is about $30

Is QW easier to use? I need easy these days... just don't want to add another tricky techie program that needs two books to get me through it.

Quilt Wizard has the very basics of EQ. EQ is great but it does take a learning curve and time!

So--what are the biggest differences? I think I've asked this before--I'm going to go search.

Hi, Barnbum
I have EQ6 and have some time to play. Can you send me the layout that you have, and let me know what part you like?
EQ6 has many blocks in the library including log cabin blocks. It is very easy to do a layout in straight sets or on point.

Debra--that's amazing--you even put floral fabrics in there and it's 10 by 12 and EVERYTHING!! Wow. I like it. I only saw one lay out...are there two?

Do you like this one better than the 2nd photo I sent you?

I sent this to my daughter to get her opinion.

Oh--I wanna play!!

This was only one layout, but it';s sure a beauty. I like it because it's different than the traditional one. Can I play too?
