I think I saw posts about this machine before. A local store is offering 24 month free financing. It is still pricey! Do you have one? Is it worth it for personal sewing -- as a hobby?

Does it have the auto-cut thread thingee? I think that would be wonderful, it's hard to move the bulk of the quilt out of the way to cut the thread with my snippers.

Do you really want the embroidery function? If not, check out the Janome 6500 or 6600 which have the same throat space and yes they both have the thread cutter. I don't have the 11000 but had a 10001 for years and worked like a champ! I personally think that Janome quality is much better than any other machine and the price is definitely more reasonable.

I don't know if I want the embroidery function, have that on my old (current) Janome and have not used it. Thanks for letting me know of options.

The 7700 is an awesome machine is the financing would be the same, its the upgrade to the 6600. I have the 6600 and love it, but I'll tell you the 7700 is one sweet machine and if I had the extra $$$$ to trade up I'd do it. Besides having an 11" throat compared to the 9" mine has, it has a freearm for sewing, and a few neat new features to it.

I have one and absolutely love it. Traded a Pfaff 7075 in on it. Easy to use and it' has auto thread cutter, low bobbin message. My dealer said always keep the bobbin area clean a small piece of thread will affect the stitches. The embroidery feature is wonderful..

You will love it.

It is a wonderful machine, however, if you are not interested in the embroidery function, a 6600 might be the option for you. I have an 11000 and love it!

I like the low bobbin idea. I have sewn yards before I realized out of bobbin thread.

You have the 11000SE? Do you mind if I ask how much it cost? It is $5,999 at one store, and $7,999 at the store offering the free financing.

I am not a fan of combo's. I did have a brother combo and didn't like taking the time to switch items back and forth just to do something simple. The 6600 is a workhorse, and has the thread cutter. You could buy two separate machines, and that is what I have done. While I'm sewing, my label is being embroidered at the same time. The Horizon 7700 is a wonderful machine, 11" throat, the 11000 is nice but again, as with most combo's, should something happen to one part, you can't use the other section.
