I don't go to Walmart very often, but I did buy an iron there for about $19 5 yrs ago that works great. Just have to remember to empty out the water when I'm done. Also have a Euro Steam that I bought at a MQS a few years ago that I use for fast, effective everyday ironing, not for quilting. I've been tempted by the Eliso, but hopefully, won't bite!

The most expensive iron I've purchased was a Reliable (ha! ha!) for just over $100. It didn't just leak, it streamed water very soon after I got it. Right now I'm really enjoying the Black & Decker I picked up for $1 at a garage sale. It hits up, hot, hot, hot, in nothing flat. No more expensive irons for me.

After going through three different expensive irons in less than a year (all returned for my money back when they died), checking out the Oliso ratings on Amazon and deciding there were too many unhappy customers, I went to WallyWorld and bought a $6.00 iron.

*LOL* After two years plus, it's still going strong! Heats properly, steams without dripping, and, best of all, it's very light weight so it is easy on my wrists.

I've had an Oliso Pro for about 4 years now and (knock on virtual wood) I haven't had any issues. But, good to know that the company stands by their product. My daughter is going off to college next year and I'm considering giving her mine (as she has mentioned how nice it would be if she could take it with her) and buying myself another one.

I mailed it with no money but a note explaining what was wrong and that I spoke to someone and they said to mail it in. Well, 2 weeks later the same iron came in the mail free of charge. I waited for a bill, but none came. I think they checked it out and figured it was malfunctioned and just replaced it for free. So, I'm a happy camper with them.

So, in the Google search engine, type in "Oliso phone number" and it will pop up and phone them and let them know how disappointed you are. They will fix it.

Update...have sent 10 emails to Oliso since October 12, and they are not doing anything....Do I have to say I am not happy with them......$200 for a machine that lasted 15 months....

Went to Walmart and bought a simple Rival for $9, it was the only one I could find that did not have a automatic shut off.....

Did you try calling? It's much easier for them to ignore emails than a live person on the phone.
