Default Fabric arrived ... uh oh!

Here is my original post with the pictures of my options - it's a storm at sea and snail trail combo

Which one looks better

I really don't like the green with this at all .. so should I order dark blue? LOL ... I thought the green would be a nice compliment, but I'm wrong!

I would go with a dark blue. I'm matchy matchy to a fault, so even though the green is nice, it doesn't pick up the colors well in your other piece.

It’s a big undertaking, so it’s best to be sure about the fabrics!

I only have about a 50% chance of getting the colors right when I order online. All my rejects get saved for another project. The green will be good for something in the future, but it doesn't really go with the blue.

I think I would use a dark blue. I'm a lot like ekuw...I like things to really match. I think it goes way back to my Home Ec days in the late 50's.

The problem with the green is it has tom much of an olive tone to it for a "lime" fabric. A dark blue may work better. It is hard to order fabrics on line. One monitor see things one way and another very different. I would hold onto that green. It might work well with a softer orange too.

I would use a dark blue. Can I also suggest that you might want to choose a fabric that has a different pattern? All three of the current fabrics have very similar patterns and it might be more interesting if you choose something a little different.

I would look for the light blue color to add a new element.

You won't know for sure until you make a block. I would suggest you cut enough to make one or two blocks - then decide. I was making an Double Irish Chain and it took me two changes for me to get what I wanted, And when I was about 3/4's done I realized it was the white that was wrong too - should have gone with a white on white - wasn't about to take it apart at that point.
