I made a baby quilt for my niece using fabric from joanns (In Washington State). Her grandmother sent me a picture of the fabric from Joanns (in Tennessee) that she used to make her window treatments in the baby's room. I was able to find the exact fabric and incorporate into my quilt.

My experience has been that the fabric is the same. During our "stay home/stay safe" time this spring, I ordered some white on white from JoAnns to finish a quilt. It matched what I had on hand perfectly.

I think it would be worth the cost of postage for her to purchase fabric and mail it to you. Less room for error.

I made curtains for a baby's room for a friend. We are on different coasts, taking photos of the bold ends and photo's worked for us. Do not order online if you're short on time. Last time I ordered it didn't come for 16 days. One other time I ordered the computer would only let me order 2 yards of each print.

I believe that if someone wants a specific fabric it is better they get it and send to you. That way there will be no chance of a mix up and you are to blame.

I am not a fan of JA. Haven't met a friendly, helpful employee yet. Most fabric designers sell through lots of venues-Kaffe fabric is the same, no matter where you buy it. I tell people to pick out material on fabric.com and ship it to me.

One other possibility could be for her to order the fabric where ever she wants and have it sent to you directly from the warehouse. Of course, that assumes she wants to order online and not pick it up in the store. Otherwise I agree with those who say for her to buy it and ship it herself. Less chance for error.
