    Default fabric magic by pellon

Has anybody used fabric magic by pellon? I am trying this for the first time and am using a steamer, but nothing seems to be happening. Am I not staying in 1 place long enough? The instructions do not say how long it takes and I tried looking on their website but didn't find anything to help me. Thanks for any help or suggestions about this.

i just looked at this video, and it doesn't look like it would take very long for the fabric magic to take effect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nTuXAiAYSY i am sure there is other information. i searched for "fabric magic by pellon". you might want to contact the company for more information.

Thanks for the link. I watched the video and I did call the company (they actually called back within an hour!) but I put batting in my project and its not shrinking up like the video shows. I don't think I over quilted it, I tried both my iron and a steamer and am now getting a little shrinkage. I'm going to keep on trying. Thanks again.

I've used it with and without batting - without batting it does shrink up about 30% like their ads say - but with the batting the percent of shrinkage is...well, shrunk....since the bulkiness of the batting prevents the fabric magic from shrinking to it's full potential. In my experience the more steam you give it the greater the shrinkage is...when it first starts shrinking, it will be rather convoluted as someplaces shrink and others don't - keep moving the iron around to make sure all parts receive the steam requried and when it's all evenly shrunk, the fabric magic will again be flat.
