Default My Gem quilt; quilting

What color thread should I use for the quilting? The batting and backing are black.

I think I would pick my favorite color out of the colors in the quilt. I think for me, it would be a toss up of either the pink or purple. What is your favorite color in the quilt. I think the back will look cool with the thread color showing.

Agree! It also depends on how skillful you are with your FMQ.
Don't want it to show all that much -- use black thread.
Make it a double sided quilt -- use color or multi-color and interesting designs with a 40 wt. thread.

Yummy quilt, by the way!

I think it would be great with a multi jewel tone thread.

I would do a multi color thread also. Very pretty!

I would use a variegated thread in complementary gem colors too.

I agree that a variegated thread of many colors would look great! Be sure and show us when you are done.

First of all, that is a beautiful quilt. I would go with a jewel tone variegated thread.
