Default Fabric panel sizes

Has anyone else noticed how big the fabric panels are getting? I usually like to make wall hangings for people but the panels are getting way to big for that. Looked at a fall panel at Hobby Lobby with truck pumpkins and puppies that was so cute but way to big !

I purchased a Christmas red truck one that is way too big, but I will make it for the church bazaar. I will add a hanging sleeve, but attach a note that it can be a wallhanging or a Christmas throw. This one is from Hobby Lobby, too.

I like the larger sizes! I can add a few blocks or borders and easily have a throw sized quilt. I think there are still plenty of smaller sized panels available, though.

I bought a bear panel that my grandson had picked out and by the time I got just a few blocks around the panel it was quite large but I really ended up liking it.

Panels run either 24" or 36" wide. I think there is room for both in the quilting realm.

The larger size is good for me, too, but that's because our house has a glass oval in the front door. One can see right into our LR if they look through the clear part of the oval. So I make panels to hang over it...never thought about that when ordering the door!!!
