I have an ultra suede coat and it cannot be dry cleaned. I held my breath for the entire time it was in my washing machine and the dryer...it came out beautiful...
sooooooo, if it's the ultra suede, I don't think that you need worry about the washing.......and the chenille throw I made, had to washed and then dried several times to get the chenille effect........

that's been my experience with suede (the ultra suede) and chenille.

Although, I would definitely make sure that it isn't regular suede......

Remember that song. It's your thang do what you wanta do. You sew what ever you want. My mom has an old quilt that my gm made & I think it has wool & cotton patches in it. Don't know how to wash that.

I would check out the washing instructions on it, or buy a 1/4 yard of it and run it through the wash a few times and see what it looks like :D:D:D
